THE HOTEL
Built in the 1800s, the hotel started life as a coaching inn and you can still see some of the historic origins.
The Hotel has a long history of association with mountaineering. Hugh Munro (after whom the mountains over 3,000 ft. are known) is pictured far left in the group above at Kinlochewe, staying here in 1899 & 1900.
He would find our rooms very different now, having comfortable, high quality beds, enhanced by simple white bed linen, which guests have voted as being "more comfortable than home"! Single, Double and Twin rooms are available. Our "Superking" double beds are a roomy 6 feet wide! (see our Rooms & Tariff page for more info on our rooms)
With our food, the aim is to provide you with quality, local produce, cooked to perfection. We don’t do fast food; in fact we prefer to be regarded as a slow food outlet. That doesn’t mean we keep you waiting an unreasonable length of time…just a reasonable time to have your food prepared with love and care. We do compliment our food with a fine selection of wines.
The Beinn Eighe Bar
We love our ales as much as our food and give them the same care an attention, after all, CAMRA doesn’t give awards to just anyone! Like our food, we get our ales from local breweries, from as close as Strathcarron and An Teallach, slightly further at Cromarty to our furthest being the Orkney Brewery.
Oh, and yes there the 105 single malts (roughly) and over a dozen Scottish Gins.
After all that (and sometimes before) relax in our lounge with its sumptuous furniture. Chat with fellow guests, read a book from our collection or enjoy one of the many games on offer (and the ongoing jigsaw!)
We are dog friendly in the bar however we ask that dog owners check with us first before bringing your furry friend inside.
